Darla Steinmann is a Project Manager with the Population Health Research Group. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Masters of Health Science in Health Promotion from the University of Toronto. Her experience has been in public health, working as Health Promotion Coordinator at the Perth District Health Unit. In this capacity, Darla acted as a consultant to all program areas in planning, implementing and evaluating health promotion strategies, was responsible for health unit communications, and managed the tobacco and substance abuse programs. As well, she worked as a Tobacco Use Prevention Coordinator at the PDHU working in the area of municipal smoking bylaw development. Since joining PHR, Darla has been the Ontario Site Coordinator for the 2004 Youth Smoking Survey and project manager for the SHAPES-Ontario Knowledge Exchange project. She is currently working as part of the team to coordinate activities for the Interdisciplinary Capacity Enhancement (ICE-PRN) project.
