To be granted access to data housed in the PHDR, researchers are required to submit a project proposal to the I.C.E. Tools, Resources & Structures Group. The approval of proposals will be based on the merit of the research project and security provisions in place at the researcher’s institution to protect the confidentiality of data. The results of the review will generally be communicated to the principal investigator as soon as is feasible, normally within two weeks of the date of application.
It is important to note that you will have access only to the data specified in your approved research project and only for the purpose of completing that project. You must submit a proposal for any research project in which you wish to use PHDR data. A separate proposal is required if you wish to answer a different question using the same or different data.
Proposals for student research must be submitted by the student’s academic supervisor. The supervisor will be the point of contact for all communication with the PHDR and any affiliated individuals.
Those whose proposals are approved will be required to sign a license agreement.
